Pride Month is coming. Everything you need to know about pride month

Pride Month is celebrated every year in June to commemorate the Stonewall riots in 1969. The Stonewall Riots was an uprising against discrimination and police brutality in New York City.

Pride Month has become a major event in the LGBT community. More recently, it became a worldwide celebration of LGBTQ rights and visibility.

In addition to celebrating diversity, pride also promotes acceptance and equality.

How did Pride month begin to exist?

Pride Month has been around since the 1970’s. It was created because gay men and women were discriminated against. In 1969, the Stonewall riots broke out when police raided a bar called The Stonewall Inn.

This is considered to be the beginning of the modern LGBT movement.

Afterwards, police began arresting gay people and throwing their bodies in paddy wagons. The gay community had nothing to celebrate and it made them angry. They decided to protest this discrimination.

When there were protests for gay rights, they would go to the streets wearing colorful costumes and dancing.

After that, pride parades were held throughout cities across the country. Every June during pride month, there are parades and festivals. There are all kinds of organizations that support LGBT rights.

If you’re trying to make a difference in the world, here are five reasons why pride month matters.

Reasons why pride month matters

Pride Matters Because We Are Human Beings

We are human beings! I’m sure we’ve all seen someone who doesn’t fit society’s definitions of what it means to be a “man” or a “woman”.

People wear makeup and dress differently than what society says is acceptable. They act and talk differently too.

They are human beings just like us, and we need to respect that.

Pride Matters in Order to Change Society

It may seem ironic that we are celebrating our differences and yet fighting for equality. But this is one of the biggest problems. Until we start accepting people for who they truly are, this won’t change.

So take a minute to stand tall and say ‘I am proud of me’ today.

Why is Pride Month important?

Pride month is finally here! What does it mean? Well, it means that we are at the point in our lives when we should feel proud of who we are and what we stand for.

And I personally believe that everyone deserves respect, regardless of their skin color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc.

But why is pride month important? Well, it’s because it shows us that we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously. Because no matter how hard we try to hide it, we’re all human beings.

We all face problems and challenges every day, whether it’s being bullied, getting rejected by someone, feeling lonely, dealing with depression, anxiety, or any other issue.

So pride month is a perfect time to remind ourselves that we’re all just humans trying to survive in this cruel universe.

Pride month means celebrating our differences. In fact, I believe we need to celebrate our differences because we are all unique individuals.

We should embrace every single person no matter their race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, etc.

In addition to celebrating our differences, pride month also celebrates us for who we are. We celebrate ourselves for being proud of who we are and what we stand for.

We celebrate ourselves because we are proud of the things we do and the decisions we make. We celebrate ourselves because we are happy with who we are.

Why was pride month started?

Pride month was started to bring awareness to LGBTQ+ issues. This includes issues such as discrimination, hate crimes, bullying, suicide, HIV/AIDS, etc.

It is very important for us to come together and fight against these problems because it affects everyone.

I hope that by coming together we can unite and become stronger as a community.

How to make a difference

What do you do when you want to make a difference but don’t know where to start? How do you go about changing something in your life that’s been bothering you for years?

Well, here’s a perfect opportunity for you to get involved with a cause that you care about.

The Pride Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those living with HIV/AIDS feel empowered to live healthy lives. They do this through support groups, counseling, and education.

They’re currently holding a campaign called “Share Your Story” which encourages people to share their stories about living with HIV/AIDS.

By sharing these stories, they hope to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, encourage other people to learn more about the disease, and ultimately change the stigma surrounding the virus.
